This website hosts the economic policy uncertainty [EPU] index developed by Salisu, Salisu, and Salisu (2023). It is the first daily news-based EPU index for Nigeria obtained from eight prominent newspapers published in the country. This attempt is a preliminary step towards providing a platform for disseminating related indices for Africa and we begin this exercise with Nigeria. 

We hope to extend this to other emerging economies in Africa in the foreseeable future.
